For waterproofing work, Contrôle Drain uses a high-quality waterproof membrane. This membrane provides a permanent solution to concrete porosity issues.

Whether for waterproofing or protecting your foundation, the seamless elastomeric membrane provides a reliable and long-lasting solution.

Over the waterproofing membrane, we install a Delta MS membrane.

The main function of the DELTA_MS membrane is to act as a waterproof protector for your foundation. It prevents water from coming into contact with the wall surface and channels any buildup down to the base of the foundation where the French drain is located.

Without proper foundation waterproofing, water can penetrate the concrete even without visible cracks. Concrete is a porous material, and without a waterproofing membrane, soil moisture gradually seeps in, promoting water infiltration, mold growth, concrete deterioration, and the formation of cracks. Effective waterproofing, combined with a functional French drain, provides the first line of defense to sustainably protect your foundation and ensure a healthy basement.

Why have a waterproof membrane installed?

Installing a protective membrane creates an effective barrier against water and moisture. The more watertight and impermeable your foundation is, the more you reduce the risk of water infiltration into the basement, helping to preserve the integrity of your foundation and extend its lifespan.

Installation procedure for our elastomeric membrane

Foundation cleaning
We clean the foundation using a 4,000 PSI pressure washer to remove all traces of dirt and contaminants present on the surface.
Drying of the surface
After cleaning, the foundation is completely dried using a burner. This step is essential to achieve a clean, dry surface, promoting optimal adhesion of the liquid elastomeric membrane.
Foundation Waterproofing
We then apply the liquid elastomeric membrane to all surfaces located below ground level. This membrane effectively seals the concrete, whether sound or porous, and prevents water infiltration.
Installation of the DELTA® MS drainage membrane
The DELTA® MS drainage membrane is installed to ensure water is directed toward the BNQ drain and to prevent any direct contact between water and the foundation wall. The top of the membrane is securely fastened and sealed using durable strips and a specialized coating, thereby preventing any water infiltration between the DELTA® MS membrane and the elastomeric membrane.
